One thing I'm worried about is that the six string J's new headstock shape is a bit longer than the standard Fender-style headstock. The old 6 string models didn't protrude out much, so they could fit in most normal bass cases. This, however, sticks out what looks like an additional inch or inch and a half, which could make it unable to fit in some bass cases.
That said, I'm always down for a nice 6 string jazz, and with an Alder body for 170 bucks, it's hard to imagine regretting a buy like that.
