Yorkville bass cabs Wow I'm impressed.

I had one of the blue fur 115s for years when I was younger. Sadly, I always thought it must be terrible simply because it was Yorkville, but ever since I finally got rid of it and "upgraded" to a variety of more famous brands, I haven't been as happy. Yorkville products are quite a lot better than I gave them credit for at the time.

Exact same thing with me lol. I bought my first amp when I was 15 with paper route money! It was an Yorkville 200B combo and later got the 115B extension. I remember I upgraded because people kept telling me to go with Ampeg, Fender, other bigger brands. I have played mostly Ampeg for the last 18 years and now that I have this set of Yorkvilles I came to realize how much I under appreciated them. Quality stuff for sure.

Nowt wrong with Yorkville/Traynor stuff. I’m glad our friend from Chatham has found something that pleases him. I keep threatening to set up a tour of the Yorkville facility just down the road in Pickering. I’ll do that in the new year. :D

Hey man you ever see one of these? Picked it up at Steve's music in London before Long and McQuade bought them out. Not sure what year it is but I'm guessing late 70's. Best 40 bucks I ever spent lol.

OK so I normally gig with my SVT running through an Ampeg B25 cab with two 15's in it. I was looking to pick up a more portable set of cabs for practices and smaller shows and today found a set of Yorkvilles at the local shop. A 210B and 115B. Picked the set up for $350 Canadian! These cabs freaking rock lol. They pump out the bass huge and the mids are amazing as well. The 210 has a high boost and mid control as well. Anyone else use Yorkville cabs? I'm blown away. They are super light as well which is a huge plus. Post pics if you have em. I'm very interested in the older Yorkville cabs now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think bass gear branded as yorkville ARE the older cabs. Traynor is the brand they've been selling under for a while already. The Traynor branded bass gear is also excellent. I've used a few of their combos/cabs/heads

My guitar player got this head as a throw in when he bought a used cab. He gave it to me. It doesnt get overly loud, but it sounds pretty good.

Correct, all made in exact same place. They decided to separate the Traynor brand name for the music instrument amplification and the Yorkville for the PA gear. They make in small production runs and are subject at anytime to be out of stock of any particular item until next production run. It is my understanding they even design and manufacture their own shipping boxes so as to keep all in-house.
