Your favorite Fender Bass VI songs?

The VI was used on Fresh Cream, but Bruce had moved to a 4 string Dano by the NYC sessions for Disraeli Gears in April/May ‘67...

Seen here on stage in February or March, ‘67

Reason being that the psychedelic paint job(also done to Clapton’s SG)on the VI was botched, rendering it unplayable. Bruce would quickly move on to the Gibson EB3 from the Danelectro, and would use the Fender as a prop in later publicity photos.

Not a Fender, but it's a VI.

Interesting! That's not the flatwound sound I usually think of in association with Peter Hook, although maybe the audio's just lo-fi here. Do you suppose the scale length and string gauges are similar to a Bass VI?

He apparently wrote a lot of the early stuff on an Eastwood VI, which I think is basically a clone of the Fender.

Not an Eastwood, as they didn’t exist as a company back then, but a Shergold Marathon

...which Eastwood did recently clone/reissue, but it’s nothing like a Fender with its single humbucker

Found it on Spotify. I could tell from the first few notes that I was going to like it. Is that Bass VI starting at 1:48?

It's very difficult to find an definitive information on Sveinung Hovensjø. So I will just ask the forum. Does anyone know how he tunes his bass vi? Babbington tunes his like a bass in all 4ths.
