Zoom b1on setup for headphones

I own a B1XON and a Squier VM Jaguar Special (PJ) and have no problems with boominess when using headphones. I also don't have any custom patches, just what was programmed straight from the factory; though I do notice that the overall level (volume) on some patches is definitely louder than others. If I had to guess, maybe your bass is too hot/boomy on the low-end?

I think same, about hot pickups of mine. Besides bypass i've set good sound on few clean patches by set knobs on bass in about 40% of volume, upping patch levels and lowing gain and bass in settings. Sometimes i think that closed headphones not ideal... maybe... Maybe i'm wrong, but semi-open probable could withdraw some tight waves of bass. Just thoughts

Well you've certainly put in some effort in trying different things to try and fix the issues, so that's commendable. Do you have a chance to try your B1ON with another bass? That might be an easy way to see whether or not the Yamaha's pickups are the problem.

Oh geez! Thank You for such a brilliant idea! I've just took my another bass and try - no booomy issue. But... Yamaha is my lovely main bass. Next challenge for me - what to do with so hot output

Great. BTW, I misspoke about the Studio patch I was suggesting. I said it was in D1, but that patch is Fat Man, which is very boomy by nature! D0 is the Studio patch.
