My Washburn AB20
err ... reflecting a brick wall (not as cool as that Martin though!)
I'll get another pic later

The Bindara Bass is around 8 inches deep, it has an electric pickup that Maton called the "vibrasonic", it appears to be a single coil pickup. It sound just the same as the acoustic sound only louder! The Maton can easily be heard with acoustic guitars and is in fact louder than my Chinese upright bass.

I'm not quite sure of the dimensions of the Earthwood, but according to the Maton archive the dimensions of the Bindara are: 23.5 " long 18.5 " wide 18.25" deep witha 30.25" scale. It is very hard to play sitting down but on a suitable length strap it is really very comfortable. The thumb rest gives a solid contact point.

I got it 'cause I needed one & figured I buy one that was outstanding & it is!

Cool--I've been wondering if anyone had any experience with the Halfling. Ribbecke was making the Halfling guitar back when I was looking at someone to build me an ABG several years ago, and I thought a bass version might work really well but didn't figure he'd be interested in doing one. Guess I was wrong!

Has anyone had experience with this?.
My first club number!

Mine sounds really good both plugged and unplugged...I favor unplugged more. The Elan you're looking at is a higher-end model and has better wood and a Fishman preamp...I can only imagine that it would be much better, which is a very good thing.

Here are my two Kinal Kompact ABGs. 4-string fretless and 6-string fretted. I love them to death! :hyper:
:eek::confused:

edit: that's a pretty cat

Would like to try it, but I have a problem: if I really like it, I'll buy it, hough it's pretty expensive, not to mention that if I buy another instrument I'll have to drill it into a ceiling because I don't have any more room here. :eyebrow:
The other thing is that is hard to find all the ABG accessories here - I barely found a gig bag for my Ibanez AEB 8 and I can buy only one type of strings.

Lokire #21 - your basses look like they came from some epic fantasy tale, they're quite bardish :D
