Unfortunately for Alec, a studio musician was brought in to play most of the bass lines on the recordings. Pretty much all of the hit songs are played by Hugh Mcdonald

well damn!.i didn't follow Jovi very much, but they sounded good...I'm sure John could've covered it just the same.

Alec John Such was a wonderful bass player, even if Bon Jovi totally sucks.

RIP Alec John Such, I hope that people will continue to play Slippery When Wet even after you’re dead.
