shhh, it's our little secret.

Yep. Mine's always quietly running under my board. I run preamps that don't have an integrated HPF on board, so it's great for me. I tend to leave my set at it's lowest point (a first run FDeck HPF Series 3) just to clear out infrasonic mess, but occasionally turn it up a lil bit. I also recently installed a pair of Loknobs on it so that the pots don't get accidentically jostled in the transport.

I think your answer is carrots?

Pretty much... hey, it's a step in the right direction from bananas ;-)

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll tootsie pop?

Crunch... we may never know. Owls good that sounds good!

To make matters even more convoluted.... I am always in the PA. Soundcraft board has variable hpf/lpf on each channel and aux... So I'm like double hpf'ing just in case...

Just what I was looking for!!
I've wasted time setting gain structure only to find out the stupid little knob got bumped which makes me really unhappy. Probaly great for an upright but the form factor isn't working for me.
I also wish it was more substantial and maybe a pedal.
OTOH I love the way it works and the price is a bargain.

I've come close to bypassing the volume pot on my HP3 as I would never want less gain and I rarely change the EQ since I normally gig with the same bass, amp, and cabinet. But I'm tired of buying gear and modifying it.
The Loknobs site is down and I don't get the mounting from photos on Reverb.
Can you describe?

My only other alternative is to buy a Broughton or cut the ends off the pot shafts off with a Dremel and cut a groove for a tiny screw driver

I have had a Broughton hpf for about 9 months now. I have to say it’s not doing much for me however I set it. I either don’t hear much difference or it makes my sound worse if i set it too high. It may come off soon. I’m using a standard tuned 4 banger.

The ones I got look like they’re not making anymore but eBay had a bunch. Installation was easy...remove knob and exterior nut and washer. Screw on their nut that has sticky adhesive on one side and ridges on the other. Slide on knob and tighten down hex.

You ‘pull and twist’ to make adjustments. They have another design that is being mad by DAddario that once you set the pedal remove knob and screw on ‘cap’ but there is no adjustment.

I have three of them in use under the board, two on my FDeck one on a Broughton LPF and they’re all working as planned.

If you don't push to much low end, an HPF can be useless. You tone is probzbly "above" your HPF threshold.
