Hope any French TBers stayed out of harms way.

I saw a video on Reddit on someone walking down the street afterwards. I won't post it here for obvious reasons, but it looks like a war zone.

In the news link in post number one by the OP.....it is immediately called a terrorist attack with the fingers pointing to UnoWho.

Yet later in the article they admit they don't have info on who did it.

So........who did it and is he actually a linked terrorist?

You are right that it is still relevant whether it is the line wolf or organised terrorist. Still a shame, of course, but that is super relevant. But somehow I feel like Russia is militarily busy elsewhere, even if they say otherwise.

Horrible news. This has become all too common.

The page must have been edited, there's no reference to IS in it now. So far as I've heard there's no indication if this was by a terror group or was a lone wolf. I'm guessing lone wolf as groups like IS and Al-Qaeda tend to favor multiple coordinated attacks. Still horrible, either way.

The perpetrator was born in France and we have no idea what his motivations were at this point. Demonizing large swaths of the world's population, as some politicians are doing, isn't the answer.

I'm aware he is French. But it's the spreading of such idealogies overseas that inspire lunacy such as this. Difficult enough to spot the home-grown stuff let alone import additional risk.

The problem is knowing exactly where they are.

They strike and hide. It's a wonder we ever find their bases, but when we do, we hit 'em hard. It seems that the best we can do for now is keep them on the run.

But yes, countries do need to work together and coordinate intel as much as possible.

Yep...it's a whole new world out there. Unfortunately, I believe it will get a lot worse before it gets better. If I was running things, the first item on the agenda would be cyber attacks to take down their hate inducing and recruiting websites. As soon as they put a new one up, take it down. Just saying.
