I had a Godin BG5 for a little while. It had SD active soap bars. Pretty nice bass, just not for me.
Yep, had Lariveé basses and guitars in the 80's/early 90's. Very well made and great playing instruments.Funny thing is you don't see Long and McQuade supporting too much of the Canadian made basses. A scattered Dingwal or F Bass, and Traynor also Godin. But No Furys! did they ever carry Lado? How about Hammersmith, well they do carry Larvee now, but did they carry their electrics when they did them?
Ok, I wasn't sure. I lived home in Newfoundland at the time, and we never had an L and M in those days. I got hit by their bug about 6 or 7 years ago when they moved into my townYep, had Lariveé basses and guitars in the 80's/early 90's. Very well made and great playing instruments.
I haven't owned any of their basses, but that was the shop I took my basses to for service and customization for the 6 years I lived in Montreal. Super nice guys and they do great work at fair prices with reasonable turn-around time.I was wondering if MF would be mentioned. His shop is like 2 blocks from where I live, I haven't walked in yet but I just might.
Im a Canuck and I wasnt even aware of this brand. WT....F?Love this bass! Totally Knayjin company.

While I was there, I've played a bunch of their basses. All were excellent in terms of tone, feel, and set-up.
I'm USAican, but I have two Canadian basses, my Larrivee fretless 6 and my MF headless 5. Both wonderful basses, can recommend both companies (though Larrivee may be US based now, I think I heard?)
