Cases or Gig Bags for Short Scale Bass?

Depending on the overall length of the specific short scale bass some guitar gig bags will fit perfectly (as the overall length, beside the active string scale length, of different short scale basses, and the overall length of different guitar gig bags, does vary a bit).

Serek makes some gig bags specifically for short and medium scale basses. I didn't try one, but measuring my Mustang it seems that the 45" one would fit it pretty good.
Heavy Duty 42" Gig Bags - Serek Basses

I bought one of these (45") and it's a pretty nice soft case.

Seems sturdy and well constructed.

No internal storage, large outer pouch.

My Aria Pro II TSB-650 ( 32" scale ) flops around a bit but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a few old t-shirts or a bit of foam.

I like it...

Thank you for the recommendation. I never heard of Serek. Those look nice, but I don't know if they are $160 nice.

These are good cases. I’m about to pull the trigger on two more for a couple of caseless vintage shorties. They’re similar to a Mono sleeve. They’re worth the cheddar because of the limited range of product for this particular niche. The cheaper options aren’t permanent solutions. I’ll never understand why more manufacturers don’t offer a legit short scale option.
