Club Moollon

Yes the euro price (which is the currency in Estonia) is €3500. I paid a similar price for my P4 with shipping and import duties from the UK to The Netherlands. Doesn't seem outrageous to me compared to other boutique builders. And when you order one new you'll pay a similar price.

Also this same shop had a P4 on Reverb just before this J4 which was advertised at €3600. It was gone when I looked again 2 days later.

I'm not saying it is cheap, it's definitely top end of the Moollon market. But still within reason I thought. Maybe the Moollon hype is starting to slow down?

I picked up this used P5 from a dealer last year, but haven't been playing it much - it has a fair amount of fret buzz even with medium high action and the back of the neck is sticky with some finish scrapes and dings. Not a great player right now, but I can tell the tone and resonance are there so I'm going to take it to get plek'd.

Anyone have advice for the back of the neck? The scrapes are quite shallow, I'm trying to decide if I should get it sanded with an oil and wax finish applied or see if the finish can be spot filled and buffed perfectly smooth. An instrument of this caliber deserves some love.

Earlier this year I purchased the black P5 with the matching black headstock from London, but the fretboard had some issues. I took it to one luthier who shimmed the neck and did some minor fret cleaning, but it still didn’t play the way I wanted it. Then I consulted another luthier who discovered a slight twist in the neck. He planed the fingerboard and refretted it, and now it plays great. I recommend checking with the shop doing the plek to ensure the neck is straight and free of any twists like mine had.

Blimey ! I almost traded that one with my Le Fay ROB a few months ago. I finally backed up and am glad I did. Sorry for you though

Is this the same bass on this YT clip ?

I haven't simply because it's out of his control and I get the same response with different words each time. He can't push YJ any harder than I can. Not sure how to proceed.
You basically have two options; ask for a refund/cancellation or sit back and wait it out. I get both sides, some want a realistic estimate for the completion of their build like most companies are able to deliver, and others are fine to just wait it out for their Moollon based on how unique the product is.

Does anyone here have any pickup height measurements from their Moollon P that came factory? I have two Moollon P's that I purchased used, but curious if the current pickup heights were tampered with. So I wanted to check with anyone who received their P bass direct from Moollon or perhaps unaltered pickup height measurements.

Thanks!

I own this bass now and it's my main player! I have 7 Moollon's and this is the one that gets played the most!
