EarCandy Cabs - Beware: Crazy Ahead

Reading all this makes me really appreciate small companies that bend over backwards to satisfy their customers.

Lol... I won't buy anything new unless it's already built and ready to ship (or pick up) from an established retailer, and the money isn't transferred until the order is processed. :D

For many higher end products that’s not an option. You commission a build and place a deposit to get started then pay the remainder when it’s ready. Fortunately there are an overwhelming number of reputable builders who will reliably take your money and deliver your order on time.

UPDATE-I filed a complaint with the consumer fraud division with the Indiana State Attorney Generals Office.
AND TIM RESPONDED (well at least to them). He says he wants to make it 'right' and is willing to do whatever it takes. And his response came from the old email address that I had been using that he wasn't responding to. So at least I know that he actually had been seeing my emails (unless he blocked my address of course) and was just choosing to ignore them. He gave a whole sob story about his health, carpal tunnel, covid, PTSD, suicidal thoughts.... etc, etc, etc. Which may be the case, but then just give me my money back and we move on. I have given him till the end of July to send me my cab or my money. I don't even need the cab anymore, but don't want to impose additional hardship to come up with the cash. Stay tuned.....

and finally...
RE: File No. 22-CP-82505 Andrew Goldstein Vs. Ear Candy Pro Audio

Dear Andrew Goldstein:

Our office has attempted to investigate and mediate your complaint against Ear Candy Pro Audio. Unfortunately, Ear Candy Pro Audio is no longer responding to any of our attempts to discuss your complaint. Without a response, we are unable to reach a resolution; therefore, we must close your file.

Based on the above, there are no further remedies that our office can pursue on your behalf. You may want to consider contacting the small claims court in your area or seek the advice of an attorney regarding any remedies that you can pursue as a private litigant.

Thank you for taking time to inform us about your complaint. Your closed file will remain part of our permanent records.

Best regards,

So you just stop replying to the Indiana State Attorney Generals Office and they shrug their shoulders and let you get away with it?

Is there somewhere you can complain about the Indiana State Attorney Generals Office?

From my last email communication with their office::

Mediation with our office is voluntary, and we cannot guarantee that the outcome will result in your favor. By Indiana statute, the Office of the Attorney General represents the State of Indiana, not individual consumers. While our office is unable to provide legal advice, you do have the option of consulting with a private attorney and/or pursuing your complaint in court.

It's frustrating that there doesn't seem to be a way of dealing with these situations.

There is... It's litigation, which can be extremely expensive both in time and money. There are tonnes of stories where courts rule in favour of the buyer, but there's basically nothing to collect.
Even though there may be laws that protect against "Buyer beware" the costs are so prohibitive and there's no guarantee of an award, that it really is "buyer beware" twice: First for the product, then again for the legal and court/case fees.

Excellent post. The phrase “blood out of a stone” applies here (you cannot get it).

I agree! I’ll stick with old peavey cubes and if I want it to look debonair will make and paint up a new metal grill and have it recovered for that matter. Then it’ll look boutique.
Last one I picked up was a 1X15BW for 50 bucks and had a brand new 4ohm basket in it!
Tried and true on the cheap!
