Fender Rumble 500 Head , do you use one?

I think that, IF the Rumble 500 is discontinued, then the Rumble 800 HD, with speakons and 2 ohm stability, is the replacement!

The 200 head seems to have been discontinued. I would hope a 300 HD replacement would be on the way.

Perhaps but assuming that’s a real 800 watts it seems pretty overpowered for most cabinet options in the series, except if you were using two Rumble 410s, no?

I'm hoping for a 500 HD. That amount of power seems just right to me-- enough headroom to provide really nice low end, but not so much power that you blow things up if you twist a knob one millimeter in the wrong direction.
The main thing I'd like, though, is the pre/post EQ control for the XLR out, but on something less than 800 watts.
In the meantime, I'm using a Creation Audio Grizzly Bass on my GK 1001RBII as a backup to my Rumble v3 500 head. The 1001RBII does have enough power that you could blow things up if you were to twist a knob one millimeter in the wrong direction... but it also has the pre/post EQ switch AND a mute switch. And the Grizzly Bass warms it up something close to the Rumble. Not exactly as plush and luxurious, but similar. (The Grizzly does the same thing for my 400RB, but without quite as much beautiful low end.)

The Rumble 800 HD is "only" 400 watts at 8 ohms. And, from what I've read, the speakers in the Stage 800 combo, which is also "only" 400 watts at 8 ohms, are the same speakers in the 500 combo and the 210 cab, even though it is "officially" rated at "only" 350 watts. So, I wouldn't expect any problem with an 800 HD and a single 210 cab.

Sounds like you could do quite nicely with an 800 HD and a single 210 cab at 400 watts.

And, if that's ever not enough you could add one, two or even 3 more cabs at the 800 watt level!
