Fender Squier Sonic Series

Any first impressions or photos about it?
Yes, I'm impressed for the price.
No sharp fret edges at all, nut cut well, action was super high but a set up rectified that.
Tuners are better than previous broncos, intonates perfectly with the new 4 saddle bridge.
If I'm being picky, the back of the neck feels a little rough, only a bit , I'm hoping it will feel smoother once it's been played a bit.

Glad to hear your positive impressions, mine is supposed to arrive next week.

What do you base that on? Pictures online look like identical tuners on each Squier Sonic Bronco.

They appear Gotoh-sized/GB7 on the Broncos, regardless the differences between the clovers depicted above. Am I right?

Is there a Hipshot model that could serve as a drop-in replacement for the Sonic Precision basses?

My apologies.

i didn't get any of the basses but i ordered the sonic strat hss a couple weeks ago and wanted to share that i've been extremely impressed. i liked it so much that i sold my classic vibe guitar. i've found 0 issues with it other than the strings arrived with some sort of glue caked all over them around the pickguard area, but swapped them and it's been great so far.

How did you get the P-pickup to fit? Out of my league if it takes routing but just curious.
I did have to take about 5mm either side of the existing cavity and cut the round hole for the top pickup fixing screw. I don't have a router , I cut the hole on a pillar drill and used a super sharp wood chisel to enlarge the cavity, whatever the wood for the body is ,it is really soft and does cut very easily.

The tuners definitely are a step up, but, honestly, I prefer the classic 2 saddle bridge with the narrower string spacing...

Never heard that anyone preferred the two saddle bridge. But whatever works for you. The first time I ever tried to do a setup was a 2 saddle and that convinced me I was too stupid to do that.

All 4 saddles now.
