What's the best way to determine the value of a current Fodera? A friend of mine that isn't on TalkBass (yet) might sell his Emperor I 6. I don't know all of the details on it but have included a picture of it below. If it's unreasonable or unacceptable to publish that information publicly and you don't mind PMing that to me, just let me know. I certainly want to be respectful regarding this. :D

You can look through the classifides here and get a rough idea and also call up Fodera. They will be able to give you a ball park figure of what you should get for it.

If the person that is looking at selling it posts it here I'm pretty certain that it will be sold within 48 hours +/-.

I wouldn't be suprised if you already have recieved emails from interested parties! If I didn't just buy one I'd be emailing you with the address of where to send it!

It's a nice looking bass!

You guys are crazy! It's got a bunch of rotten wood on it. Me, being the nice guy I am, will take that rotten wood off of his hands. I am generous..Maybe $200. :ninja:

Seriously, it is a nice bass and he will have no problem selling it.

yeah, that cruddy old fodera is about as good as a crisp $20. i say you take that $300 offer (or you can take my offer of $300.01 :bag:)

on TB, your buddy will need to list the bass himself because the mods will be all over you for selling a bass that isn't yours. Foderas and other high end instruments rarely last longer than a month in the classifieds (if priced fairly).

gre107, i'm really glad you dig that emperor. it was a pretty sick bass and i definitely miss the crisp tone it had. i sold my last Acacia after you picked up the Emperor and picked up a Pavel Hadara 5 and a Hilton 4...couldn't be happier!

I knew that you were going to show up here sooner or later Evan! Ha!

I figured you already had a call in!

$300.01 huh?

Well I'll see your $301.01 and raise you $9.00!

So that's $310.00 back to you!

Let the bidding wars begin!

The Pavel's are nice! A buddy of mine had one made a couple of years ago. Sick bass!

Peace!

I need a better close-up of the bridge to really tell. It looks like a one-off. I am certain that the underlying material is brass...all of the Fodera Bridges are except a few experimental steel ones and Anthony's Jackson's Titanium one.

It looks like an Anniversary Bass (Vinny loves doing flower inlays at the 12th fret on special pieces) and it is possible that they had the bridge on this bass plated with Silver instead of the usual gold, black or chrome...

Hope this helps!!

@ JUST THUMPIN'

what material did they use here for the Bridge ?

Joey just refinished my Monarch Deluxe. It took less than 6 weeks (and 2 of those were in transit).

Yeah, to be fair this is much more than a refinish, or ended up being. I got some email replies yesterday that make me think it is actually about done. It's been so long, that it really hasn't sunk in that I will actually get to see this thing in top form. So, I am changing my outlook to 'optimistic'. :smug:
