Here's my contribution. My new (used) Emperor II. I'm swapping out the gold hardware for black or chrome(hopefully):meh:
I won't see it until mid October as I'm in Mexico and have to go to the US to collect it.Some of you may have seen it for sale this year.

Nice bass. It was on eBay for a while. I'm glad it worked out. The guy selling it backed out of a deal with me twice on another bass he was selling at the same time. I sent the money and then he changed his mind and sent it back - twice!

Anyway, good luck with your bass - she looks great!

I noticed that guy was struggling for whatever reason with some other basses and this one.

That Emporer wouldn't be my first thought to order, but I just find it sooooo cool and beautiful. Really nice stuff.

The seller's name is Chris.I would have been wary of buying this bass but I bought a 1993 AJ 5 string from in through ebay about 3 years ago and the deal worked out well.I had extensive phone conversations with him and found him to be honest and easy to deal with.
He owns about 70 vintage Fenders and, at last count, 12 Foderas! This is one of a batch of five Foderas that he bought last year from the Low End bass shop.
i'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with him - but at least he returned your money!:)

Why dont you have it shipped to Fodera for an inspection than on to you if all is well?
:

Nice idea. However, I used to live in Minneapolis and Hoffman Guitars worked on my basses for 20 years - they know how I like them set up and I totally trust them to inspect the bass and do any fret dressing should it be necessary.
Also I cannot have the bass shipped to me in Mexico where I live. The customs duty would be horrendous! My wife is visiting Minneapolis in October and will bring the bass back in an SKB Bass Safe. We both have work permits as freelance musicians in Mexico. We are able to personally carry instruments into Mexico, but we have to pay duty if they are shipped to us, plus I would be scared of having shipped here!:rollno:
