Formula 1/F1/Formula One

Very interesting. I don't think F1 should monkey with qualifying as theirs is great and runs so well, it's inspired other series to adopt it.
I'll be 100% honest, I would rather watch F1 qualifying than the race most weeks. The F1 qualifying format is OUTSTANDING and much more interesting to watch than the Mercedes (or Ferrari in the Schumacher era) parade most weeks.
There are tracks I'll never miss watching; Monaco, Spa, Monza, but many of the others, its just another track with huge runoff areas allowing drivers to make huge mistakes with no penalty (Paul Ricard, Yas Marina, I'm looking at you!), leading to boring racing.
IMO, qualifying is the best race of the weekend on most weeks!

Oh boy...some interesting changes coming this year.

Anyone know where in Portugal the Grand Prix will be held?

Looks like this years season may be still under quarantine/ lockdown conditions...

Still waiting on Netflix for the 2020 season....Anyone have any news?
I tried to email Netflix but it was bounced back to me!

I have a feeling that at some point in the season Vettel and Stroll (the younger) will lock horns. Especially if the cars underperform, or 'team' tactics make Vettel do something against his best interests.

Verstappen, if he can keep his cool (riiiiiighhttttt.....), might be the big winner this year. He's fast, and his car is fast. He's been creeping up there. It's usually his impulsive nature that lets him down. I don't see Sainz making too many ripples, and Williams and Alfa Romeo will still be also-rans.

McLaren is the wild card. With the Mercedes power plant, this might change things. We know Ricciardo is fast when given the right horse, and Norris can also drive well.

Haas? Not sure they'll set the game on fire. Alpine and AlphaTauri will stay upper-mid pack.
That said, Bottas and Hamilton don't get any long odds, do they?

Honda’s last year, correct, or did they already make a switch? Sorry to see Honda leaving the sport, I’ve been a Honda fan since the Williams days.

No more Honda...so who will supply the Red Bull engines?

No more paying for First Class and getting Economy seats!
So, I take it you guys have not read the latest on Formula 1.com:

I'm fairly new to being an F1 fan (first season the Netflix series grabbed my attention, and I got hooked). Somehow, my kid got hooked along the way, too. I suspect there's aren't a lot of 16yo girls in this area that are texting their dads with F1 news highlights during the off-season - LOL She will even sit and watch FP and Q sessions with me. I'm loving every minute of it. :)

My daughter and her spouse in UK are both F1 fans and just got them turned on to the Netflix series

If she ever makes it to a race, her life will be changed forever. :)
