Friends, Luthiers, lend me your eyes (pickguard & PU design)

There might not be room in my control cavity for this, but I'm a bit obsessed with the idea of adding full automatic output grounding for when all pickups are off for each output.

The old (current) design needs a kill switch for the main out to avoid hum when no pickups are selected for that output. The treble output already has auto kill.

The new design substitutes 3P3T switches for the bridge and middle pickups, and the extra lugs provide the ability to add auto kill for the main output as well. I can put a LPF in the place of the old kill switch so the treble output can be used for non-treble applications, and also adds a band pass option for that output, if I'm thinking it through properly. Both 3P3T switch options at mouser.com are wider than the 2P3T Switchcraft switches I'm using now, and the widest one matches the Switchcraft length, so space and visual consistency are issues. To fit the available space, I might have to move the output jack to the side.
