GK Neo 212 - who knew?

Same. GK never really attracted me, but then I picked up the little MB200 head based on the size and then an MB115 combo because it was really cheap on CL and I needed a practice space rig. For the money, they're hard to beat and even at any price they certainly hold their own against the fancy stuff.

Also, I hope you intentionally waited until 2:12am to post about a 212.

After all the love I've seen for this cab, I think I'm gonna just bite the bullet and order one with the intention of eventually adding another. The main reason that I've ignored the GK Neo cabs is that I don't like the silver grills. I'll just get them painted black (or red if I feel silly).
Pop them off and plastidip them. Then you can change the color when you feel like it, or go back to original.

Never really looked at GK gear, not back in the 90s, not now, but there's a neo 212 at my shared rehearsal studio, and man, I'm loving that cabinet with my Mesa D800+ head! It handles the volume and power well. It's punchy and articulate with some nice full lows. The price is right on them too, not spendy like the boutique cabs.

It's high on my list of cabs to add to my arsenal.
I have 4 of them...I love them

Agreed. Never played the 212 (I'd love to snag one someday though) but I do have and use often the Neo 410. That thing can handle gobs of power. I have pushed the hell out of that cab for years and there is no signs of stopping it any time soon. I bought a GK 1001rb used years back when I was shopping to replace my old Yorkie. I originally grabbed I think it was a SBX and found out after I got it home that there was 2 woofers blown in it. Probably one of the best things that's ever happened to me gear wise. I took it back and I ended up seeing the newer Neo line and played the 410. I was blown away and bought 2 min later. Been rockin it ever since. The GK Neo line just rules. And it still kinda blows me away at how much power they can handle.

I hate my GK212 Neo, bought new, never gigged always low volume.

farts all the time if bass is barely boosted, low gain, low volume....new batteries different cords.
can not do a low a...

Finally went in the garage last night and dug out my ancient GK210 backline combo. No farts with tons of bass boost, high gain, high volume not a problem. Low A was great.

Mines going on crags list this weekend

I still have a 212...... I've never liked it standalone..... With a 112 on top of it, it sounds great. I have 2 112's, and they sound much better than the 212 by itself..... I think it has to do with the vertical alignment of the cones (or lack thereof with the 212).

The 212 cab is awesome sounding, has a great midrange push that cuts wonderfully in a live band setting, and is pretty versitile with all sorts of amps. I included a few pics and it sounds awesome coupled with a 410 cab, imo.

Even cats love them!

Tubey midrange punch. This actually sounds killer.

The cabs cut wonderfully on a busy stage.

With an RB amp, it just kills. Add a P bass and it's a beautiful thing.

Need a small club rig that will cover the basses? Here ya go.
