Apparently it's a software glitch so they won't sell it for that price, but I found that amusing!

you can sometimes find old gibsons victories and les paul money basses priced pretty reasonably, never played any of them though, so maybe it's a buyer beware situation like dave88 said

I don't think I would trust them to ship anything that could possibly be damaged easily.

I bought an Eden 210xlt cab a few weeks ago. It arrived just like the picture below, sorry for it being so blurry:

Not even a thin layer of bubble wrap. Needless to say, there was a terrible rattle in one of the speakers and I immediately returned it. The local GC here made it right by discounting another item pretty significantly and giving me credit for the shipping.

Their shipping practices for used get is poor at best. I have bought a couple of things and it was awful. I don't know how anything made it safely to my house. I also do not have a guitar center near me, but the gear that I want isn't always around where I am either.

I bought a used pedal the other day from GC, it arrived quickly, and packed in a huge 12" x 12" box (may have been larger) with tons of peanuts and bubble wrap. This is for a beat up, cheap pedal. I was impressed.

I'm glad I have several GC's in my area, so I'm willing to take a chance. With the 30 day return policy on used gear, you're only eating the shipping costs (which are very low IME) if you have to return it.

There is a used EBMM Sterling going for $750 at the GC Manhattan store if anybody is interested. It's metalflake and in decent shape.

I played it today, but I don't need another bass let alone another MM humbucker style bass when I've got a Stingray and an L2K.

I have bought many basses from Guitar Centers used gear and haven't had an issue with any of them yet and all were as described. I had one bass that wasn't packed to good put still got to me ok. All of the others were packed very well.

I just bought a bass from them that was well packed, bubble wrap and peanuts. A few years ago I bought a rack preamp, and that was so woefully packed. I think it really depends on the store.
