I need tips on which bass to buy

Right now I only have a Squier Jazz so It's probably smart to choose something with a different tone.

Perhaps, but there's nothing wrong with seeking out informed perspectives from a pool of knowledgable and experienced people. It may not be "rocket science", but it definitely falls into the category of "good and proper research".

I have 6 basses, collected since I was 16, and they are all different in weight, in feel, in action, in sound and in how they record. I cannot imagine choosing one of them to suit somebody else. After all, each one, when I bought it was 'best'. I have a favourite, and I have one I choose for live work in one style, and another I can use as a spare that does most things. Two of the basses I hate. 20 years ago, I loved them.

The only way to choose an instrument of ANY kind is to play them. After all, we hear people praising one Jazz bass compared to another - as with all the rest.

I'd go for the Warwick. The $$ pickups give really powerful output, and lots of tonal variety. The Warwick's low-mid growl will also help with playing loud aggressive music.

Hello again! I have now bought a new bass! It's a 2015 Fender American Standard Precision Bass which I got a really good deal on. It's olympic white with a tort guard and maple neck. The Warwick/Spector have to wait for now.
