If you could play bass in ANY band, who would it be?

Musically my answer would be Jamiroquai. My dream gig.

But practically, probably Justin Timberlake or someone like that. Musically it would be better than people probably think, but beyond that, if I held down the gig well for a time I think I'd be very employable.

I like the way you think! ;)

I could list any of the usual obvious choices for bands with epic bass presence...but the truth is I'd get dropped pretty quickly by any of those acts. As someone posted above, if I didn't get fired right away the fans would rage until I did.

Alice in Chains. My kind of music, and I know I can deliver the product. A more ambitious player would choose something that would stretch their skills, but at this point in my life I'll take the safe bet, have a lot of fun, and make some decent cash. Hmmm...I can hear Mr. Trujillo saying something rather similar not too long ago...

Really tough question, because I could easily list 50 bands, so I'll stop at 5:
1) Early Chicago (Terry Kath era)
2) Earth Wind & Fire (early when Maurice White was healthy)
3) The Funk Brothers (Jamerson is my hero)
4) The Beatles (I mean, who wouldn't)
5) Tower Of Power (Lenny Williams era, because I want to actually find out "What Is Hip")
