Is it me or should Pedal tuners. ( Korg Pitchblack,Boss,Polytune etc etc) have the inputs switch sides? should'nt the input from the amp to the tuner be on the right side and the input to your bass to tuner be on the left side? would this make sense or am i just being weird?

They're made this way because most of us are right handed and use a standard right handed bass where the cord is on the right side. The cord can go straight down to the pedal instead of crossing to the left That's good if you have a pedal board.

Iam right handed as well but I really didnt think alot of bass players use pedal boards. I guess iam still in 1975...lol I still dont get why you would want the input from your bass guitar on the right side? your cable has to be crossed then.

If you stand in front of your pedal the cord runs out of your bass and on the right side of your leg and in to the right side of the pedal. Not crossed.

Here's how most pedal users make it work:
Think of this as an overhead view of what we mean about the cables not needing to be crossed.

Pedal tuners are manufactured for guitar players...and most use at least a few pedals. The tuners just happen to work for bass too, so they are marketed to us bass players as well. Your real beef should be for bass amp makers....if all of them had a built in tuner and compressor most bass players really wouldn't have any pedals.

Mmm from what I see of most players would need at least an overdrive and fuzz added in there too...
