Here's how most pedal users make it work:
Think of this as an overhead view of what we mean about the cables not needing to be crossed.

Is that a good bass for metal?

Tuning is so overrated. Real rockers don't care about tuning. Ask Neil Young.
Hmmm. That just might work. But wouldn't it be so much easier if they built it that way so we wouldn't have to do that fancy and complicated "rotate" thing???Rotate the pedal 180 degrees around the "z" (vertical) axis. BOOM! Problem solved.
Ya know Magic8161, I'm detecting a little snooty "boy are you a f'n idiot"itus around here.Is it me or should Pedal tuners. ( Korg Pitchblack,Boss,Polytune etc etc) have the inputs switch sides? should'nt the input from the amp to the tuner be on the right side and the input to your bass to tuner be on the left side? would this make sense or am i just being weird?
I totally understand your complaint and have wondered the same thing for some time.Iam right handed as well but I really didnt think alot of bass players use pedal boards. I guess iam still in 1975...lol I still dont get why you would want the input from your bass guitar on the right side? your cable has to be crossed then.
Why not just get a good headstock tuner and be done with it? That's what I use now and it's great. They make really good smaller ones now.
Beat me to it. The OP's solution is a CLIP ON TUNER. No cables, no mess. They have gotten extremely good. The Snark works well enough, but my Korg clip-ons are even better at tracking my low B (low Bb with my hard rock band).
