Look what Talkbass has done to me.

I started playing when I was 9 years old. All this time I've played very basic instruments and never really put too much money in gear before. I looked at one of these things for months and as I'm turning 25 next month I decided to go for it and buy me a Strandberg. In short: no regrets.

I LOVE this thread! I'm going to show it to my wife, who wants to know why I need another bass. Exhibit A!

Very funny!

If anything, showing her this thread will be the final proof that she needs to determine that you have a potentially serious problem... and an expensive one at that.

You'll lose you talkbass viewing rights. Don't do it!

Looks like you pulled that one out of an alligator's jaws.
A real bass looks like a woman with a pompadour.

God, I'm not jelly at all (facepalm)

BTW, is that a "tune" fretless?

No, Alembic Epic fretless 6 string.

Great GAS story. Long after owning the Epic, (killer bass to bond with by the way) I'm cruising Sam Ash, and what to my wondering eyes doth appear but a Tune 6 string bass on sale for a honking SONG.
I play it and enormous GAS sets in. I am SO MUCH in LOVE! And then I come to my senses and think, "you JERK, you already OWN the original Alembic this clone is based on, so why do you want the clone? And I backed off. Sorry to say I'm STILL kicking my own butt for not giving in to GAS....

By the way for the record, the Alembic, The Carvin, the blue G&L and the SX (my first fretless) next to the burst Fender V in the top row are all fretless.

MTD Kingston Heir Fretless 5

Not to mention no bass in blue or silver....tsk tsk...
Also 8 with maple fretboards, 4 with rosewood -unacceptable, balance it out.
The MTD Kingston Super 5 Slap Tone and Finger Tone cover that.

Sheeesh, that's a really nice collection. I'm curious to know how many you had when you joined as well lol.

I know when I joined in 2011, I had 2 basses, and now I have 6. And not ONE DAY goes by that I don't seriously consider getting another one...
2 or 3
