If Fender made a RW P in this same color combo (Fiesta with a tort guard) with a rosewood board, I'd be all over it. But I guess they don't want to hurt the sales of the CS Pino. I've been thinking about building a Pino clone, starting with a RW Precision body.

I've always thought Road Worns are like the "Mexican Custom Shop". Best bang for the buck IMO. the sound and feel awesome. Congrats!!!

Ahhh, seems like you and I think alike. I’ve been waiting for them to do a RW 60’s P with 1 5/8” nut width on rosewood w/tort but I guess they want you to pony up the coin for the AVRI edition. Aged creamy white would have me gassing drool.

They do quite a good job keeping consistency on the RW’s over the years. I’ve heard people say that they do them up in batches and they are not really a production item. One thing different on mine is that they really aged the pickup pole pieces. Mine are almost black.

Looks like they stopped with the fake cigarette burn on the headstock. Nice grab!

I think the fake cigarette burn is reserved for the road worn P bass.

Had one. It was a great bass. Other than the absence of stiffening bars in the neck I could tell no differences in quality, durability and sound from the American Standard Jazz Bass.
