Those strings look tight! Congrats, bongo brother.
Your argument is invalid, because Big Poppa likes them best.
Okay, neck's better, intonation improved. String height numbers on the ebmm web site seem kinda high. Anyone get them significantly lower?

Niiiiiiiiiixe. So glad to finally see a Firemist Purple Bongo outside of a stock photo. And this is configured exactly the way I'd want one
I dont beleieve this is Firemist Purple. Guitar Center ordered a dozen based on a NAMM bass.
Hmmm well I thought it seemed like a darker color but I figured maybe it's just the lighting. Anyone know what color this is?
I played a few Bongo's at NAMM one year what really sticks in my memory about them was how long it took me to explore how many different tones they could get!
H, HH — can’t we all just get along?
OP: Beautiful bass my friend. One advantage of the roasted maple neck (and the rosewood necks, too) is you won’t suffer the ubiquitous headstock paint chip that nearly every painted-neck Bongo acquires in time.
It’s missing a string.P.S....View attachment 1167844
NOBODY's got one of these...('Cept ME!)
...Aaaaand now back to our regularly scheduled thread....
