OP: Beautiful bass my friend. One advantage of the roasted maple neck (and the rosewood necks, too) is you won’t suffer the ubiquitous headstock paint chip that nearly every painted-neck Bongo acquires in time.
Rest assured that is merely the best photographic angle of the setting.Forget the bass... I like the looks of your outside R/R area...
Our new family member, Amy, is thankful for all the love on this thread. Its obvious to me tha HH Bongo Owners and Lovers are the finest subset of the Talkbass Community.
Im sure you're right, though my Big Al-5 is NO slouch. She is the reason I felt confident in the Bongo.
Mine is a 2008 that I've owned for over 5 years and no headstock ding, but that's because I got a new neck for it about 3-4 years ago : )

Was there a problem with the neck/ and or truss rod? I take it you had to send the old neck to EBMM and they sent you a replacement? How much did it cost if you don't mind me askingm
