If you ask to try a bass with a different set of strings at the store, would they say no?
I'm sure if you want to basically exchange the bass for something different they'd be even more okay with it. GC still gets the money. I'm thinking about maybe doing that if I do return the Mustang PJ.

Ah the good old GC rental program...
i don't know why folks think store stock is theirs to take home , slobber on for a while , then return with absolutely no charges ...!!??? why would i call that = BS ... mainly because , when i buy a NEW item , i want a new item - period .
Please let us know how you make out with the return.
I'm currently trying out a jazz bass I bought there. Being a flats guy, trying a bass in store isn't ideal. So I'm trying to feel this one out and make sure I really like it but I am curious how strict they are about returns. I know you get 45 days but what if the pick up stickers get funky or you put a small mark on top of the guard sticker? Anyone have some input?
Some people would call you a moron for not leaving the bass alone while in the grace period. Not me though, I just think you're incredibly rude.

Incredibly rude? Really? For what using the 45 day return policy for what its intended for? LMAO!Some people would call you a moron for not leaving the bass alone while in the grace period. Not me though, I just think you're incredibly rude.
I don't think this post is useful, nor necessary. Also, it is rude. The whole idea behind the return policy is to make sure the instrument does what you want it to do. It's your money. You don't have to settle. Take the gear home, play it, test it, and make a decision.
