I recently sprayed some alcohol-based sanitizer on the jazz after quarantining. It ended up eating into the headstock’s finish. I was so paranoid about not spreading this virus that I forgot to wipe it off afterwards. Initially I was sad but now I’ll have a story tell some decades in the future about that time I had covid.

i found this oddity online some time ago. part of me really wishes they had the maple fretboard option in the 60s because something about maple fretboard 60s jazz basses just looks kinda cool.

This is a bit like Will Lee’s beat-up 60’s burst Jazz with the Valley Arts (and later on Sadowsky) maple neck. His best sounding Jazz? One of my favourites anyway.
