I'm a 3rd for the TC Electronics Corona. It sounds like you have a fairly specific chorus sound in mind. I can't imagine there's another chorus pedal with as much flexibility (multi effect pedals aside). With the tone print functionality, it'll get you where you want.

And with that name, you don't have to worry about anyone getting anywhere near your gear! ;)

I will be in the absolute minority here, but to me, chorus is chorus. They all sound like chorus, your audience will hear chorus, you'll turn knobs and no matter which chorus you buy, it will still sound like chorus.

Its an effect thats cool to play once in a set. Gets old real quick.

Buy one that doesn't bust the bank.

Flamesuit on.

It could be time to pay the Piper

Boss CEB-3. I've been using this pedal for 30+ years. Tried MANY others, and this is the one I always come back to. Very rich sounding. I use it as an almost always-on pedal, with a slow rate and moderate level to thicken up the bass and add a slight little bit of slow swirl. Favorite setting: E Level 12:00, Low Filter 3:00, Rate 9:00, Depth 12:00. With that setting it's not overtly noticeable but adds some character to the bass that sits well in the mix with loud guitars and drums.

+1 for the Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus. I like that pedal with the Detune knob just slightly toward the flat side, a slow rate, and everything else at 12:00. Similar to the sound I get from the Boss CEB-3 (but I like the Boss better!).
Also like the TC Electronics Corona. Tons of great tones in there!

The Tech21 BBC is amazing and I regret selling mine - it was a board staple for years.

My favorite chorus sounds are from the vintage EHX Clone Theory, and for my money the EHX Bass Clone released a few years back is an absolutely insane value. It's dead quiet, has a great crossover, and is half the price of the pedals you listed in the poll.

If you can get your hands on a (now out of production) Moog MF Clone, I'd also recommend that - it has lot of great tweaking options but delivers very strong analog chorus tones right out of the box too.

You have to go with the one that does it for you & your context--some have 2 or more so they get a different chorus in different contexts.

For bass I like a subtle chorus--so my Danelectro Fab Chorus more than does the trick.
For guitar I use the Chorus on my Roland JC or a TC electronic Corona Chorus.

Despite the warnings I read against the Sea Machine, I pulled the trigger on a good price.

I'm still not quite sure what it is, but you can create some interesting sounds with it. I would say that reviewers on here who say it has a "dark" voice are correct.

It's like a delay/reverb/chorus all in one unit.

I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that the signal coming out isn't as clean as some of my other pedals.

Two months in... I'm still on the fence about it.

I'm still using the old Digitech bass multi chorus, they are really cheap. Rugged and durable, can take a beating, plus has a blend knob. I'm sure that the fancier suggestions are better but I was never really picky about choruses as long as they aren't really obviously digital sounding.

Same here...a fellow TBer gave me one years ago. As with many chorus pedals, it can get pretty obnoxious at higher settings. I've also been trialing the various (8-10?) chorus options on a Zoom MS-60B. Some are better than others but I honestly have no clue as to how the simulations stack-up against the real thing.

Keep it simple.
Boss CEB-3 or Boss CE-5, whichever is cheaper used. Side jack's but classic sound.
Ibanez CS-Mini. Sounds like the original Ibanez CS-9 but in tiny enclosure. Takes up less space, sounds great.
If you want to get spendy, Jam Pedals Bass Waterfall.
