Boss pedals are great and they last forever. I've been using them for 35 years and I have some that are 35 years old and they still work. If you play live a lot they can take a kickin' and keep on tickin'! Haha.

Another got for IE Polytope. Given your clarification post OP I think you might really like this one. I was going to suggest the MXR Analog Chorus as it is only $99 new, but it definitely has a total ‘80s kind of sound. It is also fairly subtle.

I did not like the MXR Bass Chorus pedal at all.

I think you’d like the Polytope. It is fantastic.

I would suggest the Source Audio Gemini. It can hold I believe 6 different presets, but the great thing is that it can do more than just chorus. It can model tons of different chorus sounds as well as phasers, and flangers.

I liked the TC Corona (mini). Versatile and simple.
I'm using the Way Huge Blue Hippo, and like it.

+1 for the TC Corona chorus, very easy to use and the tone print allows for a ton of different sounds I have mine loaded with a chorus ensemble.
Another pedal I can't suggest enough is the Third Dimension by TC super cheap and nails the dimension C sound but it's a little bit darker which lends itself to bass perfectly!

Since you actualy mentioned wanting it, I can't recommend the Julia enough. I had the CEB3 for a while and it just didn't do it for me. The Julia having the blend knob (to go to vibrato if you want) is great, and it has so many possible sounds that sound full and luscious.

My personal vote would be either the EHX bass small clone or regular small clone. Great, inexpensive bass chorus.

I've heard some guys do great things with the CEB3. I hated that pedal. Didn't really seem to be very pronounced or vibrant no matter where I set it. Same with the MXR BCD...

I do like much more phaser than chorus. I've tried or owned several good chorus pedals (like tc-electronics SCF, Boss Bass ch. etc.) but didn't like them very much. Instead try EBS phaser. Or some other bass phaser.

Those are the nicest choices.. Depending on your price range.. I don't use detuning just enhancement..
