The OFFICIAL "Gretsch Bass Owners Club"

As others have commented, a Gretsch sounds like, plays like.. a Gretsch.
I have played 6str guitar since the 70s. I have had success with changing the sound of electric guitars, by swapping pick ups with the type of the targeted instrument. A pair of Hofner pick ups, and an ebony bridge, would go a long way to "Hofner- izing" , a Gretsch semi. Swapping pots , and even the kooky Hofner wiring , could only help too..

Hofner basses have a very cool, unique sound and so does a hollow body Gretsch. I most certainly don't want to change the way my Gretsch sounds.

Has the members list been completely redone since I joined years and years ago? I remember being #428. If so, may I be re-added to this new one?
Never had that many numbers here.

Member list has been updated and corrected.

Are you sure you’re not confusing with the hollow body club or short scale club?

Here’s a list of your posts in this club

Usually if you don’t post a picture of your bass you’re not issued a number.

None of your posts have a picture of your bass though you do state that you own a 5440.

This entire thread was searched for previously issued numbers, peeps that asked for a number but never received one, PM’s were sent out to all who asked for a number but never received one.

Post a picture of your bass and since you first posted here in this club in 2017 you may be eligible for an earlier number previously issued to someone that TB has banned.

Looks like Gretsch rebranded the Junior Jet as a "Streamliner" and swapped the switch for dual volume knobs
