Heck I know that. It'd be just as cool if it was someone else's as well. Just the whole carpet pic thing. You know. :)

Ha.Funny,I didnt even think about that when I was taking them.I took a bunch of others, but these came out the best. But my picture taking skills arent even close to yours.I dont know how you do it.

No, but there are only two basses on my GAS list right now... one is a Rob Allen Mouse, and the other is a fretless Lion's Pride. The LP may not happen for another year or so, but it WILL happen.

I thought you did.My bad.Ill keep you posted on mine.Ive really liked the LP's Ive played. You do have some great gear you could sell.

...The cool part is you learn to play more effortlessly, and you can go back and forth between slap and fingerstyle without needing any kind of outboard compression.
+1. Take a look at Alain Caron. I have certainly never played any of his basses, but in watching him play, I notice very little movement in his right hand - an incredibly light touch, probably necessary for him to play upper register melodies using the thumb technique as he does. I think this would require an extremely low action, else he simply would not be able to get any voice out of the string way up there.

Youtube link. He sounds great - think how good he would sound if he played a Skjold!

Edit: There is a ton of movement in his right hand, absolutely speaking. What I mean is that his attack on the bass is very subdued and he seems not to be expending much effort with his right hand, as opposed to, for instance, Louis Johnson, who really got his going.

I have played his basses and the action is quite low.

I got it a couple of hours ago... all I can say is WOW!! It's gonna take me a little time to get used to the preamp but so far all the sounds are great. I put a new set of D'Addario XL and the slap sound is killer  I also got a Human Base, I saw Ed Friendland's review a few months ago and I've been gassing for one ever since then :)
