Trace Elliot Launches the Transit B Preamp Pedal for Bass

I made the mistake of getting excited about the Minimega when it was announced too.

After hearing that it is a long wait for the Transit B, I have to say this to Peavey

Does the DI includes any kind of cab simulation? Not a must with clean bass, but as soon as some drive enters the mix, it really helps to sweeten things[/QUO

Getting it today, I watched some vids and some people love it, others hate it. will be using it as an effects pedal, so think it cuts off automatically

I'm about to order both the Transit B and the ELF from sweetwater. THEY CLAM, the ELF is gunna drop in March I think. BUT now word on the Transit B. I'll just get on the list. .... .... Lets hope I'm back with a review in a month or so!!!

Not available until June? Famous last words. PV mM as someone mentioned, and GK Plex. Speaking of the Plex, it would be interesting to see a comparo between the two units.

However, the best way I could think of going 'green' again with TE is an older AH600 with a black light on the front. Wouldn't cost that much more either.

It seems as if these two products have been pressed out to have at least something to show. A 200 watts amp is not what I expected from a brand like Trace Elliot.
Even if it might be a good amp... come on..200 watts?? No amateur or pro (at least not many rockers) will go out on stage with an 200 watts amp? And no fitting cabs? At least there is nothing elso than
the amp and the preamps on the official homepage, though I saw the vid with the small cabs. And the preamp in summer? Really? Does not sound as if it is ready. I don't think the time is needed because
the items will be handbuilt in the UK or the US ...Don't get me wrong, I love Trace! But this is disappointing. Maybe they better should have waited another year to present a complete line?

Yea, but they want the money now! :-)

The 200 watt amp is perfect for upright gigs, small electric jazz gigs, coffee house gigs, etc. It's perfect for its target audience. It's competing nicely with the GK MB200.

As I wrote...it might be a very good amp. I hope so, the technics will be the same in following bigger ones. But to come out with a 200 watts amp only.. It's just a bit disappointing because besides the preamp there is nothing to buy for the non jazzer. And even the preamps are not available yet.
