Mostly jumping between fretted 6 and 4. Used to play a 5-string but ever since acquiring a 6-string, the 5 has just been sitting in it's case.
Since I only play at home, weight is not that much of an issue so I usually grab my Ibanez BTB806MS. The only annoying thing about it is playing around the low C seated. The 37" requires too much of a stretch in the position I sit with my bass. When I stand, it's fine.
I mostly use my 4-string for alternate tunings. It's got D'Addarios balanced 120s on it, so I usually keep it around D standard give or take. It can also do E standard without having to mess with the action but at that point it's just easier to play around the 5th fret position on my 6-string.
