It's a modded beast though. Sounds nothing like a stock sr.
I'll likely pick up another 5 one day. Just don't really need one right now.

Still have & use 4-5-6-strings, the changes have been in the Quality of the instruments. When i buy better versions, I sell the orphans on Craigslist or FB marketplace. Drag my feet on selling occasionally, but there's only so much room to dedicate to instruments.

These 3 get the most attention from me.

The Gretsch is my main instrument right now. I've been playing it on all recordings for the last 5+ years. It sounds great in the mix. In my current project, we're doing acoustic-ish 90s cover sets so it fits well with that environment as well. I play this at all rehearsals and any gigs.

Ibanez BTB4 is my go-to back up and gets played a lot at home. The range of tones with the on-board EQ setup on this thing is impressive. The sweepable mid is pretty powerful in terms of tone shaping.

The LTD is the only bass i bought brand new or sight-unseen (other than on-line pictures, obviously). i played a 6 string LTD and loved the B string on it. Wanted a 5, so i went ahead and pulled the trigger. Neck through \ string through and well made. tone is lovely. plays great. my other basses and pretty much all of my gear is acquired in the second hand market.

I just got my first ever 5er (fretted), and plan to play that exclusively for a while. I will keep my 4s (fretted and fretless) around for possible future use.
