My Own Worst Enemy
For some reason pretty much every cover band I've ever played in played it, and played it every time we played.
And I still give it my all. Well... I try...

Nowadays I play in bands with people who think I'm butchering a Talking Heads song when I play that one. Haven't done Knock on Wood for several months though. These two songs have followed me around for 40 years.

I've never played that song. I've been playing 48 years and have never been in a band where anyone suggested learning it. I may be the only bass player in America that hasn't!
I've played in a couple of bands that didn't play Mustang Sally, but I think I've only been in one band that didn't play Honky Tonk Woman, so I'm going to say Honky Tonk Woman is the song I've played the most.
Not sure but "What's Going On" is definitely up there. I never get sick of playing it though. Never heard of "My Own Worst Enemy"...

Just wanted to chime in to state that I have been in cover bands my entire life and never once played Mustang Sally.
Although I haven’t had to play it in years, most of my bands have always done some variation of What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes. And it was usually always the last song. And it was always miserably boring.
