Where do you eat after shows??

when I was younger I used to hit McD's or KFC drive through.... don't play that much now so usually make a sandwich or something when I get home if I am still hungry.

one time Drummer and me rocked up to a KFC drive through about 2am and the lady came on the speaker and said 'sorry, we're out of chicken'.... drummer replied "well - what else do you do"? I think we got 2 burgers and they gave us heaps of chips for free

Here in Wisconsin Kwik Trip has hot food 27/7 and they dump the coffee and make fresh every 20 minutes. Along with chips, soda, candy, and just about everything else you could want.
They also sell , bread, cheese, & lunch meat if you want to make your own.
Plus fuel if you need it?

Here’s an answer guaranteed to make people groan loudly: I’ve been a proponent and participant in the practice of intermittent fasting since 2015. By the time most shows end I’m into my daily 16-hour fasting window and as such I never consume anything but water after a gig.

If anyone needs me I’ll be over in the corner on a very smug high horse, haha :smug:

Over the years there have been a lot of places for after gig eating but not so much anymore. The one solid choice in the Austin area is Kerby Lane Cafe with tasty, healthy food choices and an always fun and funky staff where musicians are welcome. There are 3 locations and one of them is on the way home.
Sometimes Starseeds Cafe too, I35 around 32nd.

Back when I lived in Pennsylvania it was either Sheetz or WaWa, or maybe Eat n' Park.

LA it was In and Out.

Seattle had a bunch of all night coffee joints.

In Nola, there's a local place called Buffas in my neighborhood.

Western PA back in the day. After-hours we headed for "Winky's" in Connellsville. While visiting my son, we went to Eat 'n Park (Slurp 'n Burp) and, yes, we got the "smiley" cookies.

In Norfolk, we avoid the Waffle House as it's a hang-out for the ho's, gang bangers, and drug dealers. Apparently, a waffle combo complements any 8-ball. WaWa is the safer bet as there's usually 2-3 police cruisers in the lot.
