Where do you eat after shows??

Western PA back in the day. After-hours we headed for "Winky's" in Connellsville. While visiting my son, we went to Eat 'n Park (Slurp 'n Burp) and, yes, we got the "smiley" cookies.

In Norfolk, we avoid the Waffle House as it's a hang-out for the ho's, gang bangers, and drug dealers. Apparently, a waffle combo complements any 8-ball. WaWa is the safer bet as there's usually 2-3 police cruisers in the lot.

Ha. Yeah I remember Winkys. We used to call Eat n Park "Eat and Puke." One of our band friends was a waitress at the Greensburg one and she'd always hook us up with free food and bevs.

This obviously wasn't after a show of my band but
took my 17 year old daughter to her first concert January 15th, 2022.

Tool at The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

This was at Denny's (Madison Ave. & I-80) at about 12:45 in the morning.

I was at the one further up the road in Irwin / N. Huntington (Rt 30) just west of the Turnpike...Susan had never been and also got to visit Primanti's / Monroeville. Bad directions: "take a left at the Sheetz"...there's one on every flippin' corner.

I’ve done about every late night spot in Denver for post 2am food. One of my favorite now defunct places was called Mary Jane’s Pizza. They were open from 11pm to 4:20am and hung signed pizza boxes from all of the bands and entertainers that made it a regular haunt.

What is the go to post-gig food spot in your neck of the woods?

Nowhere. I eat from about noon to 6 p.m. and that's it. After the show would be late at night and disrupt both my sleep and metabolism more than the gig already did.

Nowadays there are several all night Primantis as well. I think the one on the strip has always been 24hrs but it was always too far for gigs.

Take a left at the Sheetz? Lol. Inwoild imagine something like "take a left at the third Seetz then a right at the second one after that" lol

Part of it is where can you safely park your car with your gear in it? Usually hit Jack in the Box or Whataburger drive through.
But-in the 80s, Loves on I35 in Temple TX. Safe parking, great kitchen. 24 hrs.

Sometimes Starseeds Cafe too, I35 around 32nd.
Gear safety is paramount importance, mine is under cover and my basses go inside with me.
I grew up in Temple, there were some famous all nite eats that are regrettably long gone now, never tried Loves - a bit after my departure.
I play downtown so seldom these daze but I may try that.

Once upon a time, in a blessed era of the Iron Guts of Youth, the go-to choice was a 24-hour Krystal.

So Anyway, many years ago I was helping chaperone a group of 20 teenagers on a Southern trip. I asked the driver stop at a Krystal, then I ordered a couple of sacks of burgers and passed them out. Half the kids were game, the other half cursed me. We also stopped for RC Colas & Moon Pies.

My daughters were on the trip, and we still have a chuckle about it now & then.
