why do these kinds of bass lines/notes sound so good?

you know what the songs band on the run, silver springs, jug band music, i’m a man, can’t cut you loose, and several motown songs have in common? C. G. A. and it sounds great! not really trying to uncover any enlightening information or anything, but whenever i hear these notes in a song, even when i don’t know that they’re there, the song in question always seems extra... good. do any of you have anything similar? you just have a special chord/note progression that you like and when you hear it in a song, without even knowing it, it makes you like the song more?

I once backed a singer for a 2 song slot at a jam session that consisted of just those 3 notes. (Nutbush City Limits, Fever)

Well, except "Fever" has four notes, 1, b3, 5 (and 5 below the 1) and b7. And that doesn't include the multiple key changes in the Peggy Lee version
