As the OP, would you consider changing the title of the thread? I came here looking for the latest information on pick-guard boiling but all I see now is a load of cats. I'm really confused. I don't know whether to boil the cat, pick the guard, guard the cat, pick the boil or boil my own head in carrots. After all, nobody really cares...

Those participating in this thread share shall we say an enthusiasm. One which cannot be spoken of directly as it contravenes TB rules, and also tends to wig out the uninitiated.

Lag was a member who scammed another user. Then Lag proceeded to continue to operate in the classifieds, hide their user profile (probably the only member on the site to do so), and even publically accuse the guy he scammed of trying to screw him. It was a huge debacle.

Lag has continued to operate in the classifieds, people don't read feedback or care if you scam other members, and the thread complaining about the scam was recently bumped due to this. The mods closed that thread and removed it from public view. I couldn't find it to link as a reference, hopefully it's just me.

Currently, the huge thread exposing Lag as a scammer is hidden from public view. I am sure there will be even less hassles for him to continue operating in the classifieds now. It would do the community a disservice, in my opinion, if that thread is truly hidden from public view.

I am sure this will be considered lamenting a mod decision but, in reality, I am just explaining how this all went down. If I was incorrect on something feel free to correct me.

It's not against the rules to scam other members. The classifieds are buyer beware.

I tried to start a discussion about hiding your profile and how the only person who does it is a notable scam artist, it didn't go far. Apparently people think hiding your profile is a good way to foster a community. I think it's horrible but it isn't my call.
