Slotting this fretboard was actually easier then clicking on "OK" on the LMII site to buy a pre slotted board.
Rough shaped the fretboard and used a couple of nails to register its final position.
I'm ready to glue it on, rout to shape and start the radius, but I think I'll jump on that first thing in the morning.

Glued up the fretboard to the neck this morning.
Once this cures, I'll install the frets, and start on the neck shaping.

Removed the clamps from the fretboard, and trimmed it to size.
Next up, sanding the radius.

Sanded the 10" radius on the fretboard today.
I can start getting ready to fret the board. I'm looking forward to that using my new fret press. I have to do some setup to get that ready.
In other news, I picked up this Ovation acoustic bass very cheap as it has a few issues.
The fret board is separating near the nut, and the back is cracked. Once I'm done with this build, or waiting for the paint to cure, I can epoxy the small crack on the back, and see about re-gluing the fretboard. Another option is to just make a new neck, perhaps even converting this to a 5 or 10 string.
I can start getting ready to fret the board. I'm looking forward to that using my new fret press. I have to do some setup to get that ready.

Frets are pressed in.
I'll file the sides, and spray a few coats of clear on the fretboard to protect it while I do a little fretwork.

I'll find out when I go to level the frets. It sure was easy pressing them in. Much better then hammering.

Of course, I totally mangled my statement. It should read "Is it weird that I love puns?" or "Am I weird that I love puns?". It's actually pretty cool that you seemed to be able to parse it anyway.

I would say that you’re a glutton for PUNishment.
Started leveling the frets.
I'll be honest. I thought that using the press would yield frets that were closer to being "pre-leveled", as in, I wouldn't have to shave off as much material during the leveling process. Perhaps there's some technique using the press that will get me there.
