Worship Bass Pedalboards

This is cool. A new Bryce Vaughn pedal board run-down. Just love his tone and fascinated that he does not use the Tone Hammer. My board from yesterday is actually very similar! He got into the Mono pedal board and added the JHS Kilt, having recently been influenced by the David Funk board run-down. I got the Kilt V1 on my board yesterday as a loaner from one of my WL's to try out. I'll be putting the Kilt V2 on my board going forward (or maybe stick with the Broughton Calamity, which I adore).

@projectapollo - What do you use the Ampero switch for?

Anyone ever dealt with a very resonant sanctuary?

My bass gets super boomy from low B to D on a 4 string (peaks on low C). So much so that my open E to low A sounds anemic in comparison.

Should I be trying to boost or cut here? Any freq suggestions?

Yes, boomy and with lots of natural reverb. I turn up the high pass filter on my amp and that seems to help, but still can't get rid of it completely.

The switch changes presets on the Line 6 HX One. I use the HX for chorus, flanger, auto-swell, deep octaver moments, and memory man modulation stuff.
The more time I spend on this platform, the greater the desire grows for analog pedals. Now I’m thinking about getting rid of my HX Stomp and replacing it with an HX One due to size! 🤯 Love your pedalboard man.

Speaking of bass amps this is what every Worship Bassist needs 😂. I jest.

Updates. Got the Canvas tuner for horizontal layout. Went back to the pork & pickle for drive which is infinitely customizable with the internal trim pots.

Man have I struggled with this particular layout on this board. As much as I love Temple for the side mods they’re not as flexible as a traditional velcro board.

Waiting on some 12” patch cables and going to switch the P&P and Subsonic.

Wondering how HX sideways would be.

Always ampless. Two pedalboards, one more mid focused for rock, funk, in general clean tones, one for prog metal, nu-metal, with distorsion. But sometimes I'm playing live with both and I have the Tech 21 Bass Rig v2 if I want aditional tones and effects (chorus, envelope filter).

I love those boards. I love that bass as well. Gotta show that off sometime soon.

The Noble is on a separate effect loop. This way, I can place it first, split my signal in 2. One is my Dry signal, and the other one goes through my effects. It allows me to record the Noble and my effects separately.

Otherwise, I usually place the Noble last.

As both loops are routed to my patchbay, I only have to change one patch cable to go from one configuration to the other.

I love it !
Real nice!

Splitting to have a cleaner signal with the noble is what Dave Curran does as well. 5 Worship Bass Pedalboards You Must See

I played bass today in a Church where I usually play electric. This was my board, which is what I’ve been playing for a few weeks now.

Just a few highlights from the effects side after today’s set:

• I’d heard some players adjust their HPF (high-pass filter) settings depending on the room, but this was my first time trying it. Game-changer—it made a huge difference.

• I rarely use the Bit Commander, which I treat as my EHX Bass Micro Synth substitute. But today, the drummer spotted it and asked what it was. After I explained the kind of momentum it needed, he said, ‘I got you,’ and delivered in a big way. I ended up using it for several minutes straight during a 12-minute song. It sat perfectly in the mix and tracked surprisingly well. I even forgot to play higher for a full bridge (something I usually do when using it), and it still tracked flawlessly.

Overall, it was a blast experimenting with it in a live setting! We really tried our best to honor Him.
