...has made it down the Ursa models. I like them.

Is it me or does the body look a bit more rounded?

New tuners too, I think.

The bridge pickup on the PJs are more in the area of a 60s jazz.

Prices have gone up a bit too.

If they get in a powder blue one with a rosewood board, I'm gonna get one.

A sunburst with a rosewood board would be nice too.

Looks like Rondo was listening all along. Just checked out the new ones, anything with the stars and stripes on it is the new headstock. They have 34" scale and fretless too. One strange thing, the nut width's are listed as 1 11/16 ths!

I just heard a podcast where Roger Sadowsky mentioned that he worked at Rondo music many years ago at the start of his career. It makes some sort of weird sense that the new headstock looks so Sadowsky!
Huh, I would not have guessed that Rondo had been around that long! Though I've been aware of them for close to 20 years now.

It's on the latest episode of the "Roadie Free Radio" podcast on iTunes. It's more about Roger's backstory than guitars or basses, but it's an interesting insight into an interesting guy. He's likely the most educated of all the well-known luthiers, in a discipline that has nothing to do with guitars!
