Yep..the new SX headstock

So I'm puzzled. Does SX pass the snob test here on TB? Is it an acceptable clone?
Not trying to start trouble, but some of the clones have been really bashed here in the past...

Nothing passes the snob test here. Name a brand, you'll find someone who hates it!

Why can I not find these basses. Can someone post a link to them? I didn't see them on the Rondo website or the Rondo amazon store. I'm pretty interested in one.

They're all there. Mostly called Ursa 3 but there's a short scaled labeled Ursa 1 wkth the new head stock.

Just look at every bass called Ursa with a flag sticker. The thumbnail doesn't show the headstock.

I just heard a podcast where Roger Sadowsky mentioned that he worked at Rondo music many years ago at the start of his career. It makes some sort of weird sense that the new headstock looks so Sadowsky!

Given the similarity and past, might it then be considered a backstabbing to sue over the design?

I'd bet a dollar that Roger still has still maintained a good relationship with Rondo over the years, and Sadowsky buyers would never mistake a Chinese look-alike for the real thing. I've been a Sadowsky owner since 1990 and I might buy one of these!

Wish they'd do an Ursa 1 in LPB w/maple fb with the new neck and headstock. They likely won't, but I'd be all over it.

My guess is that when current stock is depleted, they will be - doesn't make sense to keep lots of different headstock shapes in the mix on the production line.
