Alternative for Roto Swing66 lasts longer

I've found both Hi-Beams and Lo-Riders to be too refined/laid-back-sounding compared to Rotosounds. Always left me wanting more.

Its a trade off. But yea, i love my RSs.

S.I.T. Foundations Stainless Steel or S.I.T. RBs (Rock Brights) stainless steel. These 2 are as close to Rotosounds Swing Bass as you can get. I use to use the Rock Brights because they use the same stainless steel #430. The Foundations came out about a year ago. More flexibility to them. Just Strings carries them or just Google SIT Bass strings & you can buy them direct. I have no affiliation to this company. I just love their strings & was a formal Rotosound user.

How's the stiffness in these compared to the RS66?

I've been using Apex Stainless Steel Traditional Cryos and have been pretty happy with them as a RS 66 substitute.

The SIT Foundations are a little less stiff than Rotosounds. The R.B. (Rock Brights) are about the same.

do they last more than a week or are they the same as Rotos in that regard?

In my experience they do. Last time I changed strings was January 17th of this year because I was replacing pickups
These aren't exact replicas as Rotosounds. But, to my ear they sound the closest & they have the low mid bump that Rotosounds do. Especially the RBs. I haven't gigged yet with the Foundations.
