B3n patch library.

Ok here's one I call "Untitled"...sounds like this. Without the phaser and Z-Tron I rather like the sound for ordinary playing. Boosting Dark Pre gives it just a hint of overdrive.

EDIT: Here it is without phaser and syn. About halfway through you can hear me press the boost button before I go from intro to groove. I now think without boost it has too much fuzz, and coming through my computer's speakers it also probably needs a cab sim.

Hey, I love it!

I haven't gotten the zoom b3n just yet(still backordered on sweetwater and zzounds), but after checking out a clip on how it functions and learning that one patch on the zoom b3n can store up to at least 7 effects, I have brain-stormed a patch idea for the zoom b3n. this patch has a thunderous overdriven bass sound courtesy of the darkglass bass distortion models.

DG thunder bass

znr: detect: efxln, thresh: 20, decay: 25?

Dualcomp: freq: 1.0k, lo: 25, hi: 30, volume: 70

Darkpre: bass: 50, lomid: 45, himid: 25, treble: 40, blend: 50, drive: 10, volume: 80, boost: lo+hi

Dark od: gain: 70, attack: boost, blend: 45, level: 80

This patch was inspired by this youtube clip.

I never knew there was money to be had in the field of patch creation o_O Choptones
IMO, it kind of diminishes the fun/depth of discussing with a community of musicians. I really like my 70CDR, and I'm really curious to try out a B3n and maybe mate it with a nice DI (currently have a Basswitch DI and Fire-Eye DeeEye).
Interesting. I prefer our way.

Yo Zoom B3n crowd. My excitement for this pedal has not dropped since I received it a few months ago. I’ve played it 6 or 7 of times in a variety of live settings and have been getting great results. Right now, I’ve been digging deep into the dirt pedals. The magic of the B3n for me is not necessarily in exact tone simulation per effect (though it’s really good), but in the ability to stack 7 different effects to shape a really rich tone. I play through an aguilar tonehammer, so I’m not doing too much with the Amp/Cabinet sims. I generally stack every chain with a compressor up front and a direct box (DI Plus or Sans Amp) at the end. In the middle, it’s all about dialing in the dirt and supplementing the tone to keep it full. Here’s a recording of 5 different homebrewed overdrive/distortion tones I’m into right now. If there’s some interest, I’ll post some of the filter/modulation stuff I’ve been using as well.

The recording setup was a 2004 Fender American Deluxe P Bass -> B3n -> B3 (no effects, just clean interface) -> Laptop. No frills, sorry if it’s a rough recording. For notation, rather than type out every parameter by name, I listed each knob of the effect left to right.

Awesome clips...I dig the mx dirt and the dark hair patches. nice sounding overdrives for rock and metal music. \m/

Here's my latest set of patches. Design goals:
  • They're all based on BlackOpt at the front and LMT-76 at the end.
  • Easy to gig with: maximum flexibility consolidated into just a few patches. Use stomp switches to reconfigure patches while playing live.
  • Not too interested in amp or cab modeling. I play into LMT800, a MB 151HR, and (soon) a TRV102p.
  • Access to the usual effects: chorus, flange, mild fuzz
  • Control over dynamic range. Consistent volume, unity gain.
Yum2 b420
"Yum2" Means it's my second set of "yummy" patches, based on common BlackOpt and LMT-76 settings. "b" means "flat" because one of the effects tunes me down by a half step for Black Velvet. 420 refers to 420ms of delay, which is about right for the intro to Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall intro. Get it? 420?
  • BlackOpt 50 50 50 70
  • BaMnPitch -1 0 10 100
  • BlueB BOD 28 81 57 22
  • BaFinFLNG 54 31 2 280
  • CoronaTri 85 25 100 100
  • Delay 420 23 70 off
  • LMT-76 34 20 10 35
Yum2 Oct+
Handy for soloing and practice. I haven't found an octave effect I like in the B3n. Instead I use BaMnPitch to add an octave *above* the note.
  • BlackOpt 50 50 50 70
  • BaMnPitch 12 0 5 19
  • BlueB BOD 28 81 57 22
  • BassStCho 81 27 280 99
  • Spring 1 20 44 off
  • LMT-76 34 20 10 35
  • Mono Looper
Yum2 Hold
Similar to the others but includes the interesting HoldDLY effect.
  • BlackOpt 50 50 50 70
  • BaMnPitch 12 0 5 19
  • BassStCho 81 27 280 99
  • Spring 1 20 44 off
  • Mono Looper
  • HoldDLY 712 100 10 100 70 mono off latch

Awesome mate.
Hope all of you can share your patches I will put mines too. Unfortunately I'm not good with electronic specs.
I'm looking for some patches including amps sims. Because my rig is bass - b3n - Di - trough PA
