B3n patch library.

How can i insert those patches in my b3n troughs the guitar lab?
  1. Connect the B3n to your computer with USB.
  2. Launch ZOOM Guitar Lab.
  3. Select the Patch button at the top of Guitar Lab.
  4. Drag the patch into the Patch Pool pane on the right to add it to your library without loading it on the B3n, or
  5. Drag it directly over a patch on the left side to replace that patch directly on the B3n.
You can skip steps 1 and 5 if you just want to get it into Guitar Lab, and aren't ready to load it onto the B3n yet. Later when you have attached the B3n, you can then drag the patch from the Patch Pool onto the B3n patch slot you want to load it in.

Here's a patch I came up with mentally. this patch has a heavy darkglass type sound with a metallic grit.

DG Metalbass

znr: detect: efxln, thresh: 20, decay: 25?

Dualcomp: freq: 1.0k, lo: 25, hi: 30, volume: 70

Metalzone: gain: 25, tone: 40, level: 100, balance: 20

Darkpre: bass: 50, lomid: 45, himid: 25, treble: 40, blend: 50, drive: 10, volume: 80, boost: lo+hi

I never knew there was money to be had in the field of patch creation o_O Choptones
IMO, it kind of diminishes the fun/depth of discussing with a community of musicians. I really like my 70CDR, and I'm really curious to try out a B3n and maybe mate it with a nice DI (currently have a Basswitch DI and Fire-Eye DeeEye).
I've bought a few of his packs for the G3xn.

A lot of the stock patches sound a little ridiculous or don't utilize the EQ very well for distorted tones. His patches do, however. I essentially wiped the majority of the factor presets and replaced them with his. Much more usable set of easy tones to fire up and start playing.

Anyone have a good suggestion as a starting point for the tone in "Man in the Mirror" using the B3N?

Hey, I took a crack at the Man in the Mirror Tone. I don't think you can mimic that attack on the Synth from the record, but this tone turned out pretty nice for the tune. I tried it with and without the superchorus, both work.

Man in the Mirror Tone
160 Comp: -22, 4.0, Hard, 80
Z-Syn: 3, 6, 100, 13, Saw, 4, 75, 40
DI Plus: 50, 45, 60, On, 51 (Pedal 2 Off)
SuperCho: 100, 60, 50, 30

Danielz - Thanks for this! I'm in the middle of a show for the next two weeks but will try it out right after. Thanks again!

Anyone have a patch for Dangerous by Big Data? It's a P-bass played with a pick with a particularly smooth distortion and maybe a little chorus.
We're covering "Shut Up and Dance" which has a really similar bass voice. I have a Boss GT-10B, but indeed I am running a patch with overdrive, chorus, and compression. I feel like it's still missing something though, but I can't tell what.

Hey All,

I was wondering about the order of effects, like where you put the Amp/Speakers, and other effects in the chain? Any suggestions?

I put them at the end of the chain and most (all?) of the patches I've seen do the same thing. Perhaps a limiter might come at the very end, but other than that I think Amps/Cabinets are better at the end (like the real thing).
