Can anyone identify this Bass just by the pictures?

Cort A5 Artisan series
Cort A5 Plus FMMH | Artisan Series Electric Bass

but the current A5 series uses Bartolini MK-1 pickups.

Ok let's be absolutely clear about this, I really don't understand why the name Cort is still swinging around this thread when it so absolutely clearly isn't, it's not even a copy of it (pickups, electronics, headstock shape, basically everything is different). It's a Chinese Alibaba bass, end of story.

Keep in mind that Cort makes a lot of basses for a lot of different companies, so this could be a Cort badged as a ???.

Waiting for OP to show us the back side of the headstock, particularly if it contains "Made in ...".

I agree, it's an Alibaba knock off. It looks good, and might be a very playable Bass, maybe with a bit of work. Given the new price, I'd not be paying too much for it, though. The big question being, do YOU like it? and a few lesser (but extremely important) questions, How does it sound? How does it Play?

It is at a pawn shop near my house for $250. I asked if I could have it for $200 he agreed. But it’s in an area where parking is horrific and a $320 ticket is incredibly easy to obtain. Ya know those places with 15 contradicting signs so you just put $17 in the meter for 12.5 minutes of parking, hoping you’re making the right decision and if your car is still there when ya get back you get to go home with a new axe? Aka NYC. I figured lemme try and identify it before I go thru all that trouble. Their store is mainly guitars but they have no “guitar guy” there so ya can stumble across some crazy stuff for dirt cheap. OR you can buy a 2013 Squier for like $800. I feel like they just price stuff randomly. They had an 1996 MiM Fender Strat the other day for $99. I missed that one by a few mins. So I have no idea how it plays or feels. With all that said I’m having a blast playing Bass Detective tho and hope everyone that has been helping has been enjoying themselves as well.

I’m just putting this out there as fact. I bought a Chinese made MM style 5 string neck that came with a curve at the back of the heel making it impossible to use. There was no possible way to get good contact with the body in the neck pocket in that condition. Luckily I was able to get it flat with the help of our Community Men’s Shed. They had a bench planer and the curve was removed successfully. That neck is now working well on my most recent build. I knew I was taking a chance but the price made it acceptable if it didn’t work out. Be careful and expect possible disappointment if you go down that road.
